Developers Demo 1 DVEVM HDD-based Demo Agenda The DM644x DMDK is expected to enable Arm based programmer’s to easily leverage powerful DSP based audio and video codecs from a familiar and easy to use Arm and Linux O/s and AVE API based programming environment. ARM SIDE: As shown in that ARM Family view, they would expect to treat the DSP as a “black box” . This requires the ARM Media API to be made available with the underlying AUDIO/VIDEO ENGINE. They would like to stick with existing and familiar programming tools and environment, like Greenhills or Arm. Also, would like to use standard O/S, such as Linux, and available GPL ware for fast to market functionality. TI’s DMDK should make all of this Arm side world comfortable and comparable on our DSP based SOC similar t
