* As we all know ,January 1st in the Gregorian calendar is called the new year ,while the first day on the lunar calendar is called the spring festival in China. Most countries in the world set January 1st as the new year’s day.However the time of different countries differs owning to the longitude of each country,thus making the date of new year’s day differs from each other. For example, Tonga 汤加 ,an island nation in Oceania is located on the west of the Date Line 日界线 ,so it is the first place to celebrate the new year. While on the opposite, Western Samoa 西萨摩亚 ,which is on the east of Date Line is the last to begin a new year. In the morning of new year’s day ,the more pieces in front of the house is ,the more friends they have and the luckier they will be in the new year.
