First, our parents begin teaching us the moment we are born, and what they teach us in those early years are the most important things we can learn. They teach us how to get along with other people. In addition, they teach us how to be independent and how to learn. Of course, they also teach us language and many other practical skills. Second, our parents are always teaching us whether we realize it or not. They teach both in words and by example. Finally, our parents are devoted teachers who always want the best for us. Their purpose for teaching us is to prepare us for a good life in the future. Throughout our lives we will learn from many people, for there is something that we can learn from everyone we meet. However, no teacher can take the place of our parents because they are our most devoted and best teachers.
