SECTION 26 13 13 MEDIUM-VOLTAGE CIRCUIT BREAKER SWITCHGEAR GAS-INSULATED, 5 kV-38 kV GENERAL SCOPE This specification defines the technical requirements for indoor, gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), equipped with vacuum circuit breakers with rated maximum voltage of [4.76 kV] [8.25 kV] [15.0 kV] [27.6 kV] [38 kV]. This specification covers the design, manufacture, factory production testing and field service assistance during installation and commissioning of SF6 gas-insulated vacuum circuit breaker switchgear and associated equipment. RELATED DOCUMENTS Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 Specification Sections apply to this Section. SUBMITTALS Submit shop drawings and product information in the quantities listed according to the Conditions of the Contract. All transmittals shall be identified by purchaser name, purchaser location and purchaser’s order number. Approval documents shall include: General arrangement drawing showing dimensioned elevation and floor plan, foundation details and one-line diagram Panel arrangement drawing showing layout of devices on the panel doors Three-line diagrams Schematics Nameplate engraving drawings Electrical bill of material. Final documents shall include: Documents listed in 1.3.B above Wiring diagrams Recommended spare parts list for start-up support Instruction manual. Product data: Include features, characteristics and ratings of individual circuit breakers and other components. Shop drawings: Detail equipment assemblies and indicate dimensions, weights, required clearances, method of field assembly, components and location and size of each field connection. Include the following: Nameplate legends Bus configuration with size and number of conductors in each bus run, including phase and ground conductors of main and branch buses Current ratings of buses Short-time and short-circuit ratings of switchgear assembly Detailed wiring diagrams showing wiring
