* The combined Tetramer-IFN-gamma assay. The histogram on the left is a standard peptide stimulation assay. The cells are gated CD8+ IFN-gamma+. In most of the immunological literature, 3.53% would be the reported as the number of antigen specific T cells. The histogram on the right is the same experiment with the addition of MHC Tetramers. Note that both histograms detect the a similar number of INF-gamma producing cells (3.53% and 3.4%). The actual number of antigen specific T cells is reported by the Tetramer positive cells (the two upper quadrants) or 1.91% + 1.07% = 2.98%. The u
