I learned a lot from their advice and help. Abstract This article is based on the comparison between Chinese and western catering culture. And through analysing and describing the meaning of Chinese and western catering culture, the differences of them, the reasons of the differences and communication between Chinese and western catering culture, this article aims at promoting the adaptation of catering cultures in cross-cultural marriages, accelerating the development of catering industry and the communication between Chinese and western cultures. In the process of the research, two methods are adopted, one is the literature research method, and the other is the comparative analysis method. Through consulting a large number of books, the differences of Chinese and western catering culture are compared
