教学设计与反思 执教者:贺素娟 广州市第八十九中学 阅读输入课 语言材料与分析: 教学内容:1 通过B1图片引入科幻小说的含义。2阅读一则恶作剧故事。 语言项目:The book was still popular in the 1930s.The programme was different from the book in one important way.时态以一帮过去式为主,讲述故事的发生。 学生水平分析:之前已经学过一篇adventure story,对科幻题材有所了解。本课的语言项目是掌握一定的词组的应用,重点解决in the 1930s,be different from in…way,预测学生有困难。 教学目标: 1 通过第一部分的引入,让学生了解“科幻”的含义,能用英语简单解释出科幻的意思,并列举自己喜爱的科幻书籍影片的名字,主要人物的名字及喜爱的原因,引导学生分析人物性格特点,扩充词汇量。 2 通过层层递进的阅读,抓住文章的主体结构,掌握全文大意,能复述课文。 3 在文章中,通过上下文,解决语言项目中的难点。 4 通过阅读文章,了解作家H G Welles 以及作品The War of the Worlds, 了解恶作剧与玩笑的区别,也初步了解西方节日万圣节。 教学环节/ 活动设计 设计理由 Step 1 Setting the scene (5) Q1: Do you like reading? What kind of books or magazines do you like best? Q2: Do you like science fiction stories? Do you know what science fiction means? Q3: Is a science fiction story based on a really story? Q4: Do you know the characters in the science fiction books below? Which character do you like best, why?(use ppt , 5 or more students) 理由:首先通过几个提问,提高学生的兴趣,吸引学生的注意力,引导学生快速进入新内容的学习,在回答问题中学习新单词science fiction, fake. 其次引入图片,让学生讲出每个科幻人物的出处,利用已学知识(上一单元中训练过的概括故事情节,通过具体事例,语言分析人物性格)介绍科幻人物,给学生提供一个平台展示自己良好的口头概述表达能力,同时也能从中检验学生。 Step 2 Pre-reading (1) Today we are going to read a story. A practical joke. Do you like jokes? Is a practical joke the same as a funny joke? After reading the story, please tell the differences between them. 理由:切入课题,设疑:恶作剧是什么?为什么会出现?让学生带着任务去阅读,边阅读,边思考。 Step 3 First reading Task 1:Try to find the answers to the following two questions as quickly as you can In 1897, H G Wells wrote a science fiction book. What was the name of the book? And what was the book about? In 1938, who put out a radio programme from the book? 理由:由浅入深提出第一组问题,提出第一读任务,即快速找出答案。训练学生找读的能力。使学生通过阅读,对文章的内容有初步的了解。 Step 4 Second reading(8-10) Task2: 1.Read the story again and try to answer the questions first by yourself . 2. Discuss in groups.(teamwork) 1) Did people like reading the book, the War of the Worlds, in 1933? How do you know? Find
