The temperature for sample heating was 120℃ and incubation time was 5h. The content of VOC emitted from sample was attributed to acetone. The results indicated that VOC were at the range of 60-190 μgC/g for the total 34 pieces of leather, and showed no obvious difference among these samples although there were different types of leather. There were strong peaks in the GC chromatogram corresponding to special VOC in some leather samples, which greatly increased the total VOC content. The test results indicated the current concentration level of VOC in leather.
