Before I go, I want to buy gifts for my family. 在我走之前，我想为家人买些礼物。 before“在……之前”在这里是连词，引导时间状语从句，反义词为after，“在……之后”。如： I will do it before I forget it. 趁我还没忘记的时候做。 Two hours before he arrived，it began to rain. 在他到达的2个小时之前，天开始下雨。 before还可以作介词，意为“在……之前”，其后接名词、代词或动词的v-ing形式. 如： My father always drinks some beer before meals. 我父亲在饭前总是喝啤酒。 They took exercise before swimming. 他们在游泳前做了运动。 2. How many gifts do you need, Li Ming? 你需要多少礼物，李明? how many多少，是对可数名词的数量进行提问，how many后面接可数名词复数。 how much多少，是对不可数名词的数量进行提问，how much后面接不可数名词。 另外，how much还可以用来询问价钱。如： How many people are there in your family? 你家里有几口人? I need to buy a gift for every person in my family. 我需要给家里每一个人买一份礼物。 （1）need及物动词“需要” need + n. ／pron. “需要……”。如： I need your help. 我需要你的帮助。 He needs some money now. 他现在需要钱。 need to do sth. “需要做某事”。如： Do I need to tell him the truth? 需要我告诉他事实的真相吗?
