PLC Program Lost Solution (For VIPA PLC with Network cable connections) When the following screen or/and “Error PLC PC communication” appears Press the “Windows” key on the keyboard and open the Simatic Manager Following screen appears: Select CP3….., right click and select “Object Properties” as shown below: Following screen appears: Press OK and the following screen appears: Write down the IP address (PLC-Adress) to remember later and press the “Close” button. Select “PLC” and “Edit Ethernet Node” as shown below: Following screen appears: Press the “Browse” button Following screen appears: Wait until the update is finished : When the IP Adress is 0.0.0.0 it means the IP address and the PLC program are lost. Press the “OK” button Following screen appears: Enter the IP address you wrote down previously (example:192.168.5.26) Enter the Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Press the “Assign IP Configuration” button  Following screen appears: Press “OK” Following screen appears: Press the “Close” button Select “Bausteine” and press the “Download” button, as shown below: Following screen appears: Press the “All” button and PLC program will be copied to PLC Following screen appears: Press the “Yes” button Following screen appears: Press the “Yes” button and the system data will be downloaded Following screen appears: Press the “Yes” button Close the Simatic Manager Press the “Windows” button on the keyboard and select “Shut Down…” Select “Restart” and press the “OK” button as shown below: Computer reboots and system is ready to use.
