S: they often got hungry and didn’t have enough money to go to school and had no chance ….i think people lived a miserable life in the past.
T: what do you imagine life will be like in the future?
2. 热身:T: now let’s first have a discussion about the future of one of the areas in our books. Discuss them in groups of four. After a while, I’ll ask one of you to re4port the results.
T: now please discuss some questions.(show the picture and question on the screen)
HOW WILL PEOPLE TRAVEL IN THE FUTURE?
WHERE WILL THEY GO? WHY?
S:electric cars will be traveling through the streets day and night. Anybody will be able to stop one and take it. They can go wherever they want. People will travel by car, which doesn’t burn gas, but solar energy. Instead of wheels, the car needs a cushion of air. Thus, it can float in the air. You can go wherever you want as long as you press a button on the computer in the car. What’s more, it won’t cause any pollution.
Questions:
① How will people communicate in the future?
② Where will people work in the future?
③ What kind of jobs will they have?
④ How will people do business in the future?
⑤ What kind of money will they use?
⑥ What language will people speak in the future?
⑦ Will people still speak Chinese and English?
⑧ What will school be like in the future?
⑨ What subjects will people study?
3. 听力训练:听两遍,完成第一部分练习。口语训练:看图片进行小组讨论,并使用以下表达法:It would be wonderful if…..
It would be bad for …if…
It’s possible/impossible to predict…
No one can predict what/when…
Just imagine if…
We can only guess….
