I found one of my rabbits dead in its hutch. 高分突破： 1. cross; across; crossing cross作动词用时，意思是“横穿”。如： They are crossing the river． 他们正在过河。 The idea has just crossed my mind． 这个主意是我刚才想到的。 cross作名词用时，指“十字形的东西”。 across可用作介词或副词，意为“横穿，横过”。如： They pushed the cart across the bridge． 他们推着车过桥。 The post office is across the street．邮局在街道对面。 crossing意为“横穿，交叉，十字路口，人行横道”。如： They are standing at a crossing．他们正站在十字路口。 2. take的用法 take 是初一下学期出现的一个很重要的动词。它的本义是“carry sb. / sth. from one place to another ”,即“携带、运载”。但具有灵活用法的该词在不同的场合有不同的含义。现将初一阶段 take 所出现的用法归纳如下: （1）take 表示“乘、坐”某一交通工具。如: My father usually takes a bus to work. 我爸爸通常乘公共汽车去上班。 Which bus do you often take? 你经常乘哪一路公共汽车? 注意: take 和 by 都有“乘、坐”之意。 take 是一个动词,后面接具体的交通工具,且在表示该交通工具的名词前一般应有冠词等修饰语;而 by 是一个介词,它后面所跟的表示交通工具的名词前一般不可用冠词等修饰语。 by 短语在句中修饰动词等作状语。 如：格林先生经常乘火车去上班。 Mr Green often goes to work by train. Mr Green often takes a train to work. （2）take 表示“拿、取”之意，后常接宾语,它强调将某人或某物从说话地点带到其他地方去。 如：Could you take my schoolbag to the classroom, please? 请你把我的书包拿到教室里去好吗?
