The contents The part of the language in the second unit aims to introduce the comparative and the superlative and it aims to get the students to learn comparing two things and comparing more than two things. Introduc students The teaching aims The aims of the knowledge: To learn comparing two things and more than two things, and to master important language points The aims of the abilities: To improve the abilities of speaking、reading and writing. The aims of the emotion: To let them know how to use the materials equitably in our life. The teaching emphasis 3(1)To get the ability of general reading and acquiring information. (2)To master the adjective comparative degree the usage, and sentence structures. 4、The teaching difficulties. Books are cheaper than computers. Which is the biggest, the Earth, the moon or the sun? The Sun is the biggest. Next, the teaching methods: Teach the students by the five teaching steps gradually and emphasize the contents. The teacher is to act as a guide and the students as an actor to do the activities. Then, the teaching aids. Projector. Slide show After wards, the design of the teaching procedure and the class activities. Step1. Lead-in Ask and answer about the functions of adjectives . Enumerates the monosyllable note, double syllable adjective. Enumerates polysyllable the adjective. Step2. Presentation(within 30 minutes) Part A. (1) Introduce the adjective comparative degree the usage. (2) Show three pictures with tall, thin and beautiful and discuss the questions. Practice Part A1. Read and complete the conversation, use the adjectives in the box below. A2. Work in pairs to do this quiz. S1 asks the questions. S2 uses the information in the box below to answer the questions Part B. Comparing more than two things. When we compare more than two things. We add-est to short adjectives and use most with long adjectives. We usually use” the” in the front of a superlative. Step3 Consolidation Do exercises in workbook on page 14
