AbstractFamily is a miniature of social activities, it is the most fundamental unit forming the whole society. Family values form the basis of family, it is not only one of culture values, but also the core of research system in values. What’s more, it has influenced on all family members. There exist differences between China and America in family values because of all kinds of factors, such as history, geography, culture and so on, so that it is completely different in habits and behaviors for people between the two countries.The essay compares and analyses the differences, including the relationships between parents and children, family education and marriage values. The first two chapters introduce the basic information about family values, the third and fourth chapters pay more attention to the differences and reasons about family values, the fifth chapter summarizes the essay and focuses on how to treat the differences of cross-culture in a proper way.Key Words: China; America; relationship between parents and children; family education; marriage values 摘要家庭是社会活动的缩影，是组成社会最基本的单位。而家庭价值观的形成是建立在家庭的基础上，它是一种文化价值观，也是文化价值观研究体系的核心。它对家庭成员的影响起着决定性作用，由于历史、地理、文化以及诸多方面的因素的不同，家庭观也存在很大的差异，在某些方面，各家庭成员的习惯和行为都截然相反。本文通过对比的方法对中美两种不同家庭观的了解，使人们了解并逐渐熟悉不同的文化。文章从家庭观涉及的亲子关系，家庭教育，婚姻观念方面进行对比和分析。一二章简要介绍一些基本信息，三四章对其差别和原因进行分析，第五章是对文章的总结。通过了解，人们学会了如何正确对待文化间的差异。关键词：中国；美国；亲子关系；家庭教育；婚姻观AcknowledgementI avail myself of this opportunity to express my heartfelt appreciation to all those who have helped me a lot to achieve this paper, my friends ,my classmates especially my teacher, Meng Hongyan.
