海州高级中学 王雪燕 牛津高中英语教学设计 模块八Unit 4 Films and film events Reading (1) Thoughts on the design(总体思路): 1.读前任务:让学生以小组为单位,从网上或图书馆查找关于世界上一些比较有代表性的电影节,如Venice Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, Berlin Film Festival, Shanghai Film Festival 等,主要查阅这些电影节的历史,各自的特征,代表人物,以及在这些电影节上成名的电影,并作成PPT电子文档的形式; 2.导入:播放一段82届奥斯卡的颁奖典礼的录象,引出所要讨论的话题; 3.学生展示:各小组学生走上讲台,以电影节代表的身份,利用powerpoint 展示他们搜寻到的关于各国电影节的内容,边展示边介绍,其他小组的同学边听边记录重要信息,可以发问,并发表看法; 4.归纳对比, 回归课本:采用小组竞争的形式,通过表格和选择题对六大电影节的基本信息归纳梳理,回归课本知识。 5.讨论:为何要举办电影节,电影节对电影业的发展有何贡献?最后形成一篇小作文。 6.作业:写一篇小作文,介绍2-3 个电影节,简述举办电影节的意义。 Analysis of the teaching material(教材分析): Unit 4 introduces and develops the theme of film festivals and history of film industry. And the passage is a transcript of TV show about film festivals. Six representitives from different film festivals are invited to Movie Magic and each talks about the main features of their festivals. Teaching aims(教学目标): 1.Enable the Ss to learn some knowledge of the important and famous film festivals. 2.Reinforce their reading comprehension and improve their overall aility by participating in the activities. 3.Excite their study motivation and develop their appreciation of the films. Teaching focus(教学重点): Enable the Ss to learn some knowledge of the important and famous film festivals. Teaching difficulty(教学难点): How to enable the Ss to express their own opinions of film festivals. Teaching and learning methods(教学方法): Students in senior school have a certain ability of speaking, listening and reading. They are active and competitive in class. But in order to keep their attention all the whole class, I mainly choose to use the task-based learning method. I also arrange individual work, pair work and group work to develop their ability of cooperation and competition.
