This activity introduces some new vocabulary.
Task 1 . Make a two-column chart on the board with the heading Problem at the top of column 1 and the heading Advice at the top of column 2 .Then ask the students to tell you what you could do about it.
Problem
I want to buy a new guitar but I don’t have enough money. Advice
Wait until next year.
Don’t buy a guitar.
Borrow one.
Buy a used guitar.
Get a part-time job. Task 2. Then read the problem to the class again. Then write the words could ,should ,and shouldn’t on the board next to the chart. Read the problem to the class again and help the class give advice using the word
