Unit 2 My day Period 5 Teaching content: Grammar(A) Personal pronouns Teaching tasks: To use personal pronouns to avoid repetition Teaching procedures: Step 1 Revision Talk about likes and dislikes Do you like to listen to music? Does he/she like to play badminton? T: When we use the same people or things again, we can use personal pronouns to replace nouns ,such as I ,you ,he, she, and so on . Step 2 Lead--in 1Bb 2. Teach : walk , interesting 单数 复数 第一人称 I we 第二人称 you you 第三人称 he she it they 3. Read out the sentences in Part A 4. Ask students to draw a line from the pronoun to the noun it refers to. 5.Show the pictures of PartA1 Ask: Whos this? What is this? Ss: Hes…. Shes…. Its… 6.Ask Ss to practise the conversation in part A1 in pairs and role--play the conversation . 7. Select two or three pairs to act before class. 8.Teach : yesterday ,better. Step 3 Lead--in 1.Free talk (1)Whats your name? (2)How old is your father? (3)Who is your Chinese teacher? (4)What class are you in? (5)Are you reading books? 2. Students look at the sentences in PartA2. Point out that pronouns are missing . Complete the sentences. 3. Divide the class into pairs. Compare and check the answer with each other. 4. Read and act. Step 4 Games . Divide the class into several groups. Say some sentences with personal pronouns. Guess who he/she is. Guess what it is. e.g. 1. He is a boy . He is very tall . He has short hair. He wears glasses….Who is he? 2. It is an animal. It can fly. What is it? Step 5 Practice 1.Ask Ss to read the article in PartA3 for general understanding. 2. Ask Ss to complete the task on their own . 3.
