Chapter 5 Order and Business Contract Learning Objectives General Introduction Specimen An order is a request for the supply of a specified quantity of goods on the terms agreed upon by the seller and the buyer. If it is the first deal between the buyer and the seller, the order is called an “initial order”. Otherwise, it is a repeated order. Usually, an order mainly contains a full description of the goods (such as name of the commodity, specification, size, color, quality, etc.), quantity and prices (unit price and total price), terms of payment, mode of packing, port of destination and time of shipment, and so on.
