My Hometown Xiaogan(孝感） Geographical position The sourse of the name Xiaogan is famous for its filial piety ,the meaning of the name is that filial piety touches the god.The sourse of the name comes from three filial sons stories. 董永卖身葬父 黄香扇衾温被温 孟宗哭竹 The important birthplaces of Chu culture The territory of Xiaogan has the city of Chu king and more than 460 other ancient sites, and more than 200 ancient tombs,ancient buildings and ancient landscape.Among the unearthed ancient artifacts,more than100 pieces of goods are at the national level. 楚王城 云梦睡虎地秦简 Xiangan also has honourable revolutionary tradition . Since Lixianlian set up the 5th Division of the New Fourth Army,Xiaogan has become the centre of this army.Its also the hometown of general Xuhaidong . Among the founding generals,50 generals were from Xiaogan,including 37 Dawu generals,and Dawu is the 7th in the national general county.
