Data Analyst, UK Health Forum, UK London EC4Y The UK Health Forum modelling team has been working for the last eight years developing a micro-simulation model of lifestyle risk factors and related chronic diseases, which has been applied in over 70 national settings in the UK, US, Mexico, Brazil, the Russian Federation as well as local settings in the UK. The team has collaborated with the CDC, OECD, WHO and NICE. Details of their work is available at .uk We are looking for an experienced data analyst with a deep interest in public health to join our small team of epidemiologists, programmers and researchers. The candidate should have the following skills: Essential Master’s in Epidemiology, Medical Statistics or Applied Statistics Complex survey design and methods e.g. raking Highly proficient in the use of statistical software such as STATA, R Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Ability to accurately judge priorities Highly proficient computer skills – Microsoft office Excellent organizational and communication skills Highly desirable PhD in Epidemiology, Medical Statistics or Applied Statistics High level of report writing and presentational skills Desirable Skills in use of SQL database Knowledge of programming languages such as C++ Past experience of statistical modelling Publication track record This is a full-time, one-year fixed term position with the possibility of further extended employment, subject to funding, based at the UK Health Forum offices in Blackfriars, central London. The contract is subject to a three month probationary period.
