1. Teaching Material
1) A General Analysis of the Teaching Material
This is an article mainly addressing anger, a mental issue concerning people living under great stress in modern times. The text covers the consequences of anger and steps to control it, by means of a rigid structure and enlightening questions. A wide range of suggestions are elaborated in hope of facilitating the readers’ adaptation to the difficult circumstances.

Paragraph 2 is adapted for a survey on anger (see in the appendix)
Four spots are utilized in Paragraph 6.
3. A few adjustments have been made to Paragraphs 7 and 8, such as the sequence of sentences and suggestions on changes are reorganized. The purpose is to attract the Ss’ attention and involve them in a task which exposes them to an authentic context and requires them to carry out certain action on the basis of comprehension.
They serve as indicators of several suggestions, making them clearly-organized.
The revision aims at perfecting the structure by integrating the two paragraphs into one. Length 1. More than 400 words are eliminated. 1. It enables the text to be processed within the period of 45 minutes by Grade Two students of average level in Zhejiang Province. Language 1. A certain number of difficult or not-so-frequently-used words like excess and foul are replaced with familiar and common words (extra and unpleasant)
2. Several sentences patterns and words (e.g. There is a good chance that…) are employed.
3. The word “people”, in some cases, is substituted by “you”. 1. The text will become more learner-friendly.
2. The text thus seems briefer and more coherent.
3. Adopting the second person you makes the Ss immersed to this issue to a larger degree. Content 1. Another suggestion involving the role of a counselor is added.
