#13教学设计 【教材改编简要说明】 本文是一篇富有哲理的小品文，讨论了决定对命运的影响，文章主题明确，用词较浅显，对高二中等偏上学生而言，运用所学的阅读技巧理解文章难度应该不大；但由于是夹叙夹议的文体，结构较为松散，影响学生掌握文章脉络和框架。同时文章还有一个缺憾，即未能就如何做这一最有实践指导意义的环节进行讨论。本话题对一些轻视平时表现，大错不犯，小错不断的学生有较借鉴作用，笔者把课型设为阅读讨论课，希望对文章进行较为深入的探讨和挖掘。根据对文章的和教学目标的设定，笔者对原文作了如下改编： 将文章改为一封报社编辑给学生Victoria的回信，以此增加学生的认同感，引起共鸣；删除原文当中的第一个实例，只保留用第一人称叙述的第二个实例，使这封回信显得更为亲切。 对一些段落和句子进行了删减和调整，使信件的结构更为清晰。便于学生学习和掌握结构。 在正文前增加了预习作业即中心句搭配和生词理解，前者重在使学生关注文章结构，后者则注重学生学习策略的培养；在正文后增加诗歌，文章的补充、回顾与归纳。 改编后的材料保留了原作的，为了尽量保有原汁原味，也为了扩大学生的词汇量，笔者基本没有删减生词，希望学生们能够跳一跳，摘到这个“苹果”。 Ⅰ.Teaching material A Letter to Victoria Ⅱ. Material Analysis: The original passage is an article talking about the importance of decisions and how they shape people’s destiny. It’s meaningful to the Ss of their age for they are also faced with choices while it’s also loose-organized，adding to the difficulty of grasping the organization. Thus I adapted the article into a letter from an editor of a newspaper, rearranged the paragraphs and crossed out the first example and several repetitive sentences, aiming at making the essay clearer both in organization-constructing and meaning-obtaining. Ⅲ. Student Analysis: The adapted article will be used among the upper intermediate students of Senior Two, who have mastered enough effective reading strategies and developed their own habit of learning English. Ⅳ.Teaching Objectives : 1. Language focuses: 1). The students will be able to know meanings of the following expressions or sentence patterns and try to use them in proper situations: a. the thrilling, ultimately, hold no power, vegetarian, trigger, capacity, in an instant, commit to doing b.
