Classroom Interaction and Teacher Talk 1.Classroom interaction 1.1 The importance Walsh (2002) points out that teachers use adequately conversational language, which can be good for improving students’ degree of participating classroom and creating more learning opportunities for students. Cheng Xiaotang (2009): another important function of interaction in language classroom is information communication. 1.2 Functions of Classroom interaction (1)improve participation; (2)construct meaning when negotiating of meaning; (3)exchange information; (4)experience the use , understand the meaning, and concern about language form. 2. Teacher talk 2.1.The backgroud It demands that teachers should use adequate teacher talk to promote classroom interaction and increase learners’ language output, thus to contribute to second language acquisition.(Ministry of Education promulgated Outline of the Basic Curriculum Reform on June 8th in 2001 ) Kraker (2000) pointed out that the classroom teacher talk is one of the important ways to study the effect of classroom teaching. 2.2 Definitions Deyun Pan Longming (2000): English teacher talk is composed of classroom English, instruction English, teacher-student interaction, and teacher feedback English, which can be used to teach linguistic knowledge, guide classroom communication and organize classroom activities. English teacher talk is characterized by simplification and clarification. Chen Qiuxian (2007): teacher talk is the language used by the teachers in the classroom organization and classroom instruction. In our parts: Teacher talk is the language used by teachers to lead students in classroom situation, instruct language knowledge, organize classroom, raise questions, correct errors, and give feedback to students in the teaching process. 2.3 Theoretical bases of teacher talk Long’s Interaction Hypothesis Time:1983 Interaction Hypothesis, in which he proposes some basic definitions—two-way c
