An Empirical Research of Factors Affecting Effectiveness of Social Network Service孙伟韩国岭南大学管理信息系统专业年度校内基金论文(/3rd/NOV/2010)ABSTRACTIn this paper we introduced the concept of social network service and summarized the current issues of SNS and studied empirically factors affecting effectiveness of SNS. A casual model was developed to conceptualize the relationship between issues to be resolved as antecedent variables and success factors as consequent variables with some intermediary variables. Then the model was tested empirically to find out meaningful relationships among those variables. Results of the study imply that for SNS providers to increase their SNS’s effectiveness they need to enhance social creativity which can be enhanced by increasing the SNS intelligence and user externalization and also enhancing community collaboration. SNS intelligence, community collaboration and user externalization turned out to be factors affecting significantly users’ social creativity. User externalization was important factor affecting SNS intelligence. Also, community collaboration was an important factor affecting user externalization.
