Summary record of the Special SACFA meeting held on 12.2.1998. Special SACFA meeting was held on 12/2/98 at Sanchar Bha- van, New Delhi under the Chairmanship of Shri A.V.Gokak, Secre- tary, DOT Chairman (TC) to formulate guidelines to facilitate selection of sites for SACFA clearance. A list of the partici- pants is attached. 2. The Chairman welcomed the members and recalled that in the last Special SACFA meeting it was decided that SACFA members would provide appropriate guidelines for clearance of sites as related to their organisations for consolidation and finalisa- tion. While giving these guidelines confidential/secret informa- tion need not be disclosed. These guidelines would be helpful in selecting the sites which would have a good chance of getting approved by SACFA. Accordingly, guidelines have been received from various SACFA members. Based on various inputs, a consoli- dated document has been prepared for consideration of SACFA. 3. Wireless Adviser, thereafter, explained in brief contents of the document. He indicated that the document broadly consisted of three sections. Part A contained general instructions, Part B contained guidelines as received from members as related to their organisations and Part C contained broad principles as related to processing of applications for SACFA clearances. 4.
