How to Use this Toolkit This toolkit provides information to be used by family physicians to assess for dementia in the primary care setting. Introduction Distinguishing normal age-related memory complaints from true dementia and distinguishing the type of dementia involves determining the quality of the memory loss and any associated functional or behavioural changes. When to Refer? Most cases of dementia can be managed in primary care.
