Fusco (5), S. Kwok (1), R. Campbell (1), R. Goodrich (1) About Asteroid (511) Davida Discovered by R.S. Dugan in Heidelberg, Germany in 1903. Common C-class outer main belt asteroid. Approximately 320 km (200 miles) in diameter. Rotation period of 5.129 hours. Why Make These Observations? The Keck AO Observations (1) The Keck AO Observations (2) We used the Mistral software package to enhance each image through deconvolution. What do we see in the deconvolved images? In these images, the dark regions are rotating with the asteroid. We used these images to estimate the size we see when viewed from above the pole. A two dimensional outline of each image was isolated. Apparent Size Estimate Our team has imaged five other asteroids from the ground using this method, including Iris and Juno.
