Research of Technology in Software Reverse Engineering Abstract：Reverse engineering is a kind of technique that needs to obtain the mathematical model of product from real sample in order to develop similar advanced products. The current reverse engineering has already combined with advanced manufacturing technology CAD/CAM, and developed into a relatively independent research area in the CAD/CAM system [1]. Its key technical matters include as following: the digitization of shape and surface? the rebuilt of 3D model? integrated reverse engineering system etc. This paper introduces the origin of reverse engineering, latest researching development at home and abroad, the key technologies of data acquirement, data pretreatment, 3D surface reconstruction, precision analysis, the application of it will also be discussed in the last. Key words: reverse engineering, last development, entity digitization 1 Introduction Reverse engineering, often described as inverse engineering, its initial idea comes from the design process that made clay model transform into products. It is a comprehensive process that assimilates and excavates a series of analytical methods, approaches and technology that involve the design, manufacture, and manage of product [2]. Reverse engineering mainly research on the product prototype, material object, software (draft, program and technical documents etc), or images (picture and photograph), then applies system analysis engineering, product design methodology and the theory and methods of Computer Aided Technologies (CAX), and explores, masters the key technology of the product life cycle design, manufacture and manage, finally develops the similar or more advance product.
