* The traditinal approach for implementing a new IT system is to start with Business Process Re- Engineering. Usually, this takes a considerable amount of time. When the BPR process is finished, the ERP software that was originally selected for implementation may not be able to support all the defined Business Processes. Therefore, by the time you actually want to implement the ERP software, some processes will have to be re-engineered again. That may also be true for those processes that were defined at the beginning of the project, and have changed in the mean time. It is okay if a customer already finished the BPR before an ERP package will be implemented.
