Bivariate Regression Analysis
Examining relationships between a pair of quantitative variables.
Well review three different but related aspects of these relationships:
The form of the relationship. If it’s linear, we estimate a formula that predicts a value on the response variable from the value on the explanatory variable.
Is there a significant association between the two variables by testing the hypothesis of statistical independence?
The strength of their association using a measure of association called correlation.
