The level of financial development and the extent of financial deepening has thus become an important indicator of measuring the development of a nation’s economy. This paper puts forward some constructive suggestions in promoted competitive power of the state-owned commercial banks, which are also helpful to other joint-stock commercial banks. Firstly, we analyze the competitive power of the banking sector depending on the theory of banking competitive power. Secondly, in this part we also selective analysis the characteristic of the state-owned commercial banks competitive power and related essential factor. Third, the paper stresses the state-owned commercial bank’s conditions, the environment of competition around the state-owned commercial banks and compared with foreign-invested banks.
