Language acquisition, language production comprehension. 2.1 Language Acquisition (1) Holophrastic stage Around 1st birthday; Words are produced in isolation; Lasts 2 months—a year. (2) Two-word stage Around 18 months; Vocabulary grows; Primitive syntax. (3) Stage of three-word utterance (4) Fluent grammatical conversation stage 2.2 Language comprehension --- How do people use their knowledge of language, and how do they understand what they hear or read?
