The fan / motor assembly is designed to be the primary source of cooling airflow when the vehicle speed cannot supply enough cooling airflow. The fan / motor assembly interfaces with the cooling module and assists the engine bay heat management. The fan / motor assembly comprises of a support (cowl or shroud), a motor assembly (motor, relay module, harness and connector), a fan and hardware. All views and details refer to vehicle harness side. References concerned by this ES (Engineering Specification) are: PGF000 340 PGF000 350 PGF000 360 PGF000 370 Design Validation Plan (DVP) up-dates have to be summated on a regular basis during the validation, a full DVP report has to be summated at the end of the validation.
