The Curriculum underscores揅oncerning the affective development of the students, getting the students edified by beauty, fostering their aesthetic consciousness and interest, and cultivating their aesthetic perception and inventiveness? and reckons the above-mentioned as one of the most important aims of course. The New Curriculum attaches great importance to affective cultivation in the process of study. Ancient poems embody rich and profound humanity, which is distinctively characterized by lyricism. Therefore, the cultivation of affection is necessarily becoming one of the dominant tendencies in the poetry teaching in secondary schools.
