Focus 2: 28 B-level words, 17 A-level words, 6 phrases and expressions listed under Vocabulary. d. Comprehensive skills Understand a passage at the intermediate level of difficulty and on this basis, be able to write a summary of the text. e. Functions Focus 1: Introducing the Customs and Insurance. Focus 2: Writing a Letter of an Insurance Claim.  B Procedures and Methods Eight teaching periods are needed to cover the present unit. 1. Period One and Period Two: Step One: a. Background information: Here is an old fable: Good Luck, bad luck, who knows? A father and his son owned a farm. They did not have many animals, but they did own a horse. One day the horse ran away. ?How terrible, what bad luck,” said the neighbours. ?Good luck, bad luck, who knows?” replied the father. Several weeks later the horse returned, bringing with him four wild horses. ?What marvellous luck,” said the neighbours. ?Good luck, bad luck, who knows?” replied the father. The son began to learn to ride the wild horses, but one day he was thrown and broke his leg. ?What bad luck,” said the neighbours. ?Good luck, bad
