The second period
The analysis of teaching materials(教材分析):
Basic sentence patterns and important words and expressions are foundations in the whole English learning. Basic knowledge of sentences is the first step to understand the language. In addition, the Ss can improve their English level with a good master of sentence knowledge. So a review of sentence knowledge will definitely has a positive influence in their following learning.
The analysis of students(学情分析):
To most of our students, I don’t think they are interested in English. That is to say, we must pay more attention to those students—students Band C. First, we must raise their interest. Second, we must begin with the Link Verbs.
Teaching goals (教学目标):
After this period, they must know how to use the followings:
1. Vacabularies(Ss C): powerful; settle; suffer; lonely; recover. exactly;
disagree disagreement
2. The following phrases(Ss B):
go through经历;经受 set down记下;放下;登记
on _purpose 故意地 suffer from遭受;患病
get tired of 对……厌烦 get along/on with 与……相处;进展
fall in love with sb.相爱;爱上某人 join in 参加
3.Some important sentences from Unit One ( Ss A):
1) While walking the dog,you were careless.
2) You will tell him that he should have studied.
3) I wonder if its because I havent been able to be outdoors for so long that Ive grown so crazy about everything to do with nature.
4) I happened to be upstairs at dusk when the window was open.
5) Its the first time that in a year and a half Id seen the night face to face.
Teaching important and difficult points(教学重难点):
Get the students to know how to use the five important sentences from Unit One
Teaching procedures(教学流程):
Step One Review the following vocabularies:
1. settle v.安家;定居;安排;解决
(1)settle sth.处理/解决……
(2)settle down稳定;定居;安身;专心做(to)
settle in定居;迁入(新居) settle on 决定/确定……
e.g : She found it difficult to and calm down in the hiding place...(课本P4)
