Romans brought many things to Britain such as; Roads, new building methods, irrigation and farming methods as well as tools, machines, education and Latin. After Rome’s rule for 400 years a new invader came to change the British landscape. Most people were farmers with individual kings ruling different areas. 100 Years War Chivalry - Knights The Bayeux Tapestry The Tudors were a Welsh-English family that ruled England and Wales from 1485 to 1603 - one of the most exciting periods of British history. They ruled for 118 years and during their reign encouraged new religious ideas, overseas exploration and colonization. England became richer than ever before. As the country became wealthier, towns grew, beautiful houses were built and schools and colleges were set up. Arts and crafts flourished too. England was home to great painters, writers and musicians. Christian State Bleak and overcast – The Scottish characteristic is sometimes seen as cold and bitter like the weather, however that’s not the case they are warm and friendly. When the weather is good, it is appreciated by all. People always say that British people like to talk or complain about the weather.
