We couldn’t have finished the work ahead of time without your help. But for your advice, I couldn’t have done it so successfully. He telephoned to inform me of your birthday, or I would have known nothing about it. I might have given you more help, but I was too busy. 3． 其它典型的引导虚拟语气的状语从句连词还有even if(即使), as if(仿佛), if only(要是…就好了), in case(万一).. Eg If only I hadn’t wasted my valuable time in the school. They talked as if they had been friends for many rears. 一些动词引导的宾语从句也常用虚拟语气，如wish/would rather… Eg I’d rather you posted the letter right away. I wish that you hadn’t told my parents. 5． 特殊形式的虚拟语气 （1）表示要求/建议/命令/提义/愿望等的主语从句.宾语从句.表语从句和同位语从句，其虚拟形式为should+do, should可以省略。 Eg She suggested that we (should)keep the door locked.
