I’m at the Notting Hill Carnival. It’s noisy and colorful. There must be a million people here. Everybody is having a good time, even the policeman. In fact, there aren’t any spectators—everybody who is here is part of the celebration. There are bands from all over the world playing all types of music, but the best ones are the West Indian calypso bands. Calypso is great—it‘s exciting and relaxing at the same time. Besides the bands, everybody has a whistle—including me! So it is really noisy. The food is good, too. I had some chicken, called jerk chicken and some Jamaican patties, which are made of beef and onions. The are really tasty. Now I’m having a coffee at an Internet café, and a rest.
