Introduction 5分钟 What does it mean if people demand peace? demand需要，要求(语气较强烈) v. demand sth / demand that sb (should) do sth /demand (of sb.) to do sth demand sth. from/of sb. 向某人要求某事物 （比较：require/request sb to do sth; require doing sth=require to be done，而demand 无此句型） She demanded to see her lawyer. Her mother demanded that she (should ) be sent to hospital at once. 2). n. 常和for连用，也可接that引导的同位语从句(should+动词原形，should可省略) These developments have created a great demand for home computers.
