私立南台科技大學教育領導與評鑑所 霸凌行為與家庭教育之探討 指導教授：李新鄉 教授 研究生：黃欽鎰 中華民國九十九年十二月家庭背景對子女教育成就知影響─台灣實證 國立暨南國際大學 管理學院 經濟學研究所 陳永欽 中華民國九十一年 內容摘要： 本研究之目的，在深入觀察台灣家庭子女的受教育年數和家庭背景的關係，在考慮父母的社會經濟特性之外，特別強調其手足效果，希望可以深入了解子女的手足性別組成以及出生的前後排序，對於教育年數多寡的影響，透過兩種不同的效果觀察，互相印證手足效果的影響，並由此引申父母的性別偏好態度，並透過不同的出生世代(birth cohort)分類，觀察經濟發展的過程中，手足效果是否呈現不同的影響程度。 本文所使用的資料是華人家庭動態資料庫(Panel Study of Family Dynamics簡稱PSFD)。並以父母教育程度、父親籍貫、父親的職業、子女的性別、兄弟姐妹的數目、排行等變數，對受訪者所接受的教育成就進行分析，可獲致以下結論： 父母的教育程度和子女的教育程度有高度的正相關，父親對男性或女性教育程度的影響力較母親大，男性的教育程度和父親有較大的關連，女性的教育程度和母親有較大的關連。 姊姊的數目增加有助於教育年數的增加，其他手足則反而有不利的影響；男性有兄弟姐妹的效果皆正向高於女性有兄弟姐妹的效果。受訪者出生的排序愈小，其所接受的教育年數愈少；換言之，排行較後者其教育成就才不至受到壓抑。 女性受排行負效果的影響大於男性，可以說明了社會普遍重男輕女傾向，這個結果隱含出生序小的女性，受制於家庭有限的資源，教育機會可能有不利影響。Title of Thesis：Family Background and Educational Attainment --Study of Taiwanese Data Name of Institute：Graduate Institute of Economics, National Chi Nan University Graduate Date：June, 2002 Degree Conferred：Master Name of Student：Chen, Yung-Ching Advisor：Dr. Chen, Chien-Liang Abstract Purpose of this study is to focus primarily on the investigation of the relationship between family background and children educational attainment. In consideringinter-generational transfer mechanism of human capital, we especially emphasize on siblings effect. We hope to understand how the sibling composition and birth orderaffect the children educational attainment. Furthermore, we would like to check whether there is gender preference between parents. Moreover, stratify sub-samples by birth cohorts, we can further understand changes of sibling effect over the process of economics development.
