Silvermouse specialises in the secure management and workflow of media metadata within the broadcast industry. The system incorporates a full metadata set for all content types as it moves securely between content producers, editors and broadcasters in defined workflows within the media work cycle offering privileged access to data both at departmental and at individual user levels. Silvermouse has the capability to capture a comprehensive set of data, derived from information previously delivered via the paper based PasC form. Much of this information may in time be used for ITV’s internal processes; however these notes have been drafted to ensure Producers enter, at a minimum, what is currently required. This document will not refer to forms or data fields for which data entry is not currently required. General Principles The information provided by Silvermouse feeds into many operations within ITV, including: Rights clearance and costing Artiste Payments Music reports Programme synopsis creation Transmission Schedule creation Commercial references Portrayal reports Guild reports Completion of the Forms ITV will issue relevant forms for completion, in accordance with pre-set rules. The list of forms for a programme may not therefore replicate the list below – there could be more or less. As a general rule, cue sheets are required for every material type, for example, programmes for both UK Broadcast and International versions; Promotions; News and Weather and Sponsorship, where
