ROUNDTABLE ON CLIMATE AND OZONE-FRIENDLY TECHNOLOGIES IN REFRIGERATION AND AIR-CONDITIONING ANNUAL MEETING OF THE REGIONAL OZONE NETWORK FOR EUROPE AND CENTRAL ASIA BELGRADE, SERBIA, 10-13 MAY 2011 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS ECA network activities ECA work programme 2011-2012: The ECA work programme 2011-2012 has been agreed and is summarized in Annex III. Host countries: Confirmed host countries for 2011 include Hungary and Georgia and for 2012 Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. In addition, Armenia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Romania and Turkmenistan indicated their interest in hosting future meetings of the ECA network subject to approval by the respective Ministries. Macedonia FYR offered to host the ECA network meeting in 2013 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the network. HCFC policy measures: UNEP OzonAction maintains the status tables on existing and planned HCFC policy measures as well as legislation licensing systems. Countries are encouraged to review and update the information in the context of HPMP implementation on an annual basis before each network meeting. Joint UNIDO-UNEP destruction project: LVC Article 5 countries of the ECA network are eligible to participate in the joint UNIDO/UNEP regional destruction project. The preparatory funding has been included in the 2011 business plans of both agencies and will be requested at the 65th Meeting of the Executive Committee. Several countries had expressed their potential interest in participating during the pre-meeting consultations including Croatia, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Albania. Non-LVC countries would not be eligible including Macedonia FYR, Serbia and Turkey. Participating countries may be required to provide additional information. Translations: The ECA network will continue translating selected technical and policy publications and meeting presentation and disseminating them electronically in order save the cost of printing and dissemination of paper copies.
