She has overcome a lot of difficulties in the following 46 years. Disabled people should obtain knowledge and skills according to their characteristics, for living and for society, Zhang said. She cherished her life as a writer and translator: I like writing. Writing is the way I use to cheer myself up and to tell disabled people how to face the misfortunes. Zhang started to learn English 20 years ago and now she is good at English, German, Japanese and even Esperanto（世界语）. She has published over one million characters of translations and writings.
