Teacher warmly greets students.
Sing a song: “Good morning”.
Step two: presentation
Lead students to read Part 6 aloud.
Choose two students to read the first dialogue in roles. Then interpret the dialogues into Chinese to ensure that students understand the meaning.
T: Class, what do you think of the relationship between the two speakers? Do they know each other?
S: Yes. They are friends.
Choose two students to read the second dialogue in roles. Then interpret the dialogues into Chinese.
T: What do you think of the relationship between the two speakers? Do they know each other? Why?
S: No. They meet for the first time. Because they don’t know each other’s names.
Choose three students to read the last dialogue and interpret.
T: How about the relationship among the three speakers?
S: Someone is introducing his two friends to each other.
Step three: practice
Have students choose one of the three situations and accordingly make dialogues in groups.
T: Now you can suggest you are in one of the three situations: meeting a friend, making a new friend or introducing a friend. Please make dialogues in groups of four. You can add more chatting to make your dialogue interesting.
