  PENGPU NIGHT MARKET LOCATION Lin fen Road 临汾路 Location: Linfen Road Zhabei District 闸北区临汾路 Getting there: Take Metro Line 1 and get off at Pengpu New Village Station (彭浦新村) 临汾路 FOOD Stretched Noodles This is a small classic restaurant on this road which has been existed for more than 10 years. It gains its popularity because of the cheap price. My favorite food in the restaurant is Hand-pulled noodles with beef. Not only the noodles but also the soup attracts my tongue, and there is a lot of ingredients in it(much more than school). Every meal time the small room is crowded with custom. The first fried food of Pengpu Walking along the road you maybe see many stalls called “The first fried food of Pengpu. Don’t trust it. There is the only one stall call it which is in the picture. The queue waited for the food is so long that you maybe wait it for half an hour, even more. Why there are so many people .the difference from other stalls is its sauce. It is hard to describe the taste of the sauce. It is spicy and tasty. Problem There is no doubt that night market meets local people need and attract a lot of people and reflect how local people live and entertain themselves after a day full of stresses and strains. But it causes some problems. Rubbish is the serious problem. It brought a lot of work to the cleaner. The cooking oil, which was left by vendors, makes the ground dirty and viscose. Night Market forces buses to change routes The Shanghai No. 5 Bus Co said it was forced into making changes on some of the bus routes because of traffic jams caused by a night market. The market is illegal but it is so popular that it has become a sort of an icon for the Pengpu area and even the district. The Zhabei District government, however, has been unable to drive away the vendors because of the market’s popularity with the locals as well as tourists. Eight bus lines, including the No. 206, 951 and 912, will make detours from the Wenxi and Linfen roads after 8pm
