It is a basic skill for a foreign language learner. Generally speaking, students in secondary school often have no purpose to read an article. In fact, doing some plans before reading is important for them. While reading, there are some skills which I mainly want to talk about in this article. Skimming is the first one, to get the specific information, then about how to get the main idea of the article, how to anticipate and how to make some inferences while reading. Activities in class are also useful for the secondary school students.
