It also has cultural features、art features and commercial features. In modern society, film has become one of the most powerful media. As Chinas development level of opening up ever increasing, more and more western films were introduced into our country. And these films also played an important role in cultural exchange between the Western and China. Besides, watching original western films is a good way for English learners to improve their oral English and listening. Film title is an important part of a film. It enhances the topic of a film, expresses the feelings and esthetics and it also attracts the audience. When the audience face so many western films, how can they pick out the one they like to watch. At this moment, the translation of English film title helps them a lot. Because it will decide the audiences’ feelings about the film directly. Therefore, how to translate the film title accurately and vividly is of weighty importance in translation study.
