Homemade meals fell to a new low, 917 meals per person Vs. 933 in 1990, while restaurant meals increased 14%.
BUT, consumers want to eat at home.
More than 1/2 of restaurant meals were consumed outside the restaurant, table service dropped to new low of 23% from 27% in 1990.
80% restaurant growth is from fast food.
