浅析英语的一种转换否定----否定转肯定 英语是一门丰富多彩的语言，它以各种不同的形式表达了意义上的肯定，其中最为特殊的一种是以形式上的否定来表示意义上的肯定。 一、用带有否定词not, no的比较句型来表示。 He is no better than a beggar.他实际上等于一个乞丐。 He cant be more lazy.他非常非常懒惰。 I cant feel better today.我今天感到很好。 二、用否定词not, no, never等 ＋ 否定词，或表示否定意义的词表示。 Man can not live without water.人没水就无法生存。 I cant (help) but admire his courage.我不由得敬佩他的勇气来。 Theres no man but has his faults.每个人都有缺点。 No pains, no gains.不劳无获。 They never meet without quarrelling.他们每次见面总要吵架。 We should not fail to help you when necessary.必要时，我们一定帮助你。 三、用否定词not, never或表示否定意义的词＋until (till)来表示。 I didn’t know about it until yesterday.直到昨天我才知道这件事。 The tower is usually invisible until the sun comes out.这座城通常要等太阳出来才能看得见。 You never really know a man until you stand in his shoes.你只有在设身处地的时候才会真正了解一个人。 四、用not, never等否定词＋too...to...来表示。 Men are never too old to learn.活到老，学到老。 He is not old to work for his bread.他并不太老，还可以赚钱糊口。 五、用too... not to...来表示。 He is too careful not to have noticed that.他那么细心，不会不注意到这一点。 The young man is too strong not to be employed.这个小伙子这样健壮，不会不被雇用的。 六、用带有否定词not的疑问句来表示。 “Isnt the cloth magnificent?” said the official and the minister.“这块布料多华丽啊!”官员和大臣说道。 七、用带有否定词的词组in no time, not a little, not half (very, very much), never? so (very), no? end (very much)来表示。例如： Im? not? a? little surprised.我十分惊奇。 She spent not a little on her clothing.他买衣服用了很多钱。 She didnt half like drawing.她非常喜欢画画。 Mary was no end sad because she didnt pass the examination.玛丽非常难过，因为她考试不及格。 Ill be back in no time.我很快就会回来。
